Why do we do siding, roofing, and windows better than all the rest? Professional Building Services holds the industry best “Installation Masters” certification (www.installationmastersusa.com). This is a nationwide training and certifications program for new construction and replacement installers of windows and exterior glass doors in residential and light commercial markets. The program is designed to teach installers the best practices and installation techniques based on established industry standards.

Why do we do it legally? In addition, Professional Building Services is a EPA certified renovation firm. The Environmental Protection Agency’s Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) rule is widely considered a “game changer” for the residential remodeling industry. The rule took effect April 22, 2010. On or before that date, any company working in a home or child-occupied facility built prior to 1978 must be a registered EPA renovation firm. A Certified Renovator (CR) assumes responsibility for on-site job supervision, training of other employees, and overseeing work practices, cleaning, and cleaning verification of all work in pre-1978 properties. With some exceptions, the rules apply to interior work that disturbs 6 square feet or less of lead-painted surfaces, and 20 square feet or less for exterior surfaces.

The EPA projects that less than 4% have complied with the law.
